AF1 Customs
Around the beginning of 2020, a challenge came my way: to do custom work on a pair of sneakers for Julinho KSD. What started as an isolated project, eventually grew bigger and turned into a few. The work was uploaded and quickly gained some recognition, having clients trusting my ability to customize their own pair of Nike AF1's. Although it was a short project, it was definitely a sweet one, and a lot of care and attention went into each and every pair.
The process for customization was fairly simple, yet there was the main goal to maintain: to create a unique briefing with each and every client, making sure the final design met their expectations whilst pushing it to become the best possible product. As for the execution, they were handpainted with appropriate materials so these designs could hold through time.
You can find some of my favorite pairs done during 2020, being the last collaboration between myself and João Guerreiro, in hopes to piss off the sneaker community, but also bringing some humor into it. At the end of the day, creating is all about experimenting and having fun, so why not bring these superbrands together?
